The 3rd annual Old Gaelic Rugby golf tournament is scheduled for October 11, 2015 at Rich Valley Golf Course.  We have room for 144 players and are taking reservations on a first come-first taken basis.  For more information see the “Golf Tournament” tab above.

Practice is at our normal practice field every Tuesday and Thursday.  If we switch to another gym for Tuesday practices we will send an email and post here as well.

Old Gaelic’s 15 Season Comes to an End

With a tough loss to the Michigan based Tri Cities Old Gaelic ends their attempt at a national championship and finishes in the top four in the nation.  EAP will resume next Tuesday, June 9.  We will have a hoops session and sevens planning this Thursday, June 4, at 6:30 at the practice field.

Due to the MAC championship postponement, the Gaelic will take on South Jersey this Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. on a neutral field offered up by the Roses.  Field is located at Centerville Middle School, Lancaster.

This coming Tuesday, February 3, we will start back up “officially” at EAP as a team covered activity.  EAP starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs until around 7:30.  We will continue at EAP throughout most of the spring season.

Tuesday 2/3 EAP 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday 2/10 EAP 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday 2/17 EAP 6:30 p.m. directly followed by a one hour practice on the EAP turf.  Expect to end close to 8:30.

Tuesday 2/24 EAP 6:30 p.m. directly followed by a one hour practice on the EAP turf.  Expect to end close to 8:30.

Tuesday 3/3 No EAP.

Wednesday 3/4 Rugby practice 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EAP

Tuesday 3/10 EAP 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday 3/11 Rugby practice 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EAP

After these dates we will reevaluate field conditions and make a determination whether to move outdoors or continue indoor drilling.

Saturday, December 6, 2014 is the Old Gaelic annual Holiday Party at the Caddy Shack (address below).The cost of the event is $32 per person, which has only increased $6 over the last decade. For that meager sum we are provided an open bar for beer and wine as well as appetizers (wings, crudité, buffalo dip) and a buffet dinner.  This year’s menu will include seafood Newburgh, chicken, prime rib, rolls and vegetables.

Spouses/girlfriends/mistresses and all other significant others are welcome to the party as are potential recruits and friends.

Also, for those with Old Boy connections please pass the word.  It is always a please to see our forefathers and we would love to see the turnout we had in the past two years.

A rough schedule for the evening:

6 p.m. –  Doors Open

6-7 p.m. –  Cocktails/Appetizers

7 p.m.  – Dinner is served

7-8 p.m. – Dinner/mingling

8 p.m. – Comments and Awards

8:30 p.m.  – 5 Neat Guys

9 p.m. – continued festivities

12 p.m. – party ends/continues at Sierra Madre

There will be drawings and raffles throughout the evening, including the drawing for our goalpost fundraiser sales.  Merchandise will be available for purchase at year end blowout prices.  All CIPP’d players will receive a special gift courtesy of yours truly.

RIP Joe Patsy, one of this club’s founders.

A memorial for Joe Patsy will be held this Friday, October 10, at the Hoffman-Roth funeral home in Carlisle.  If you can make it please try to be there by 3:15, a brief service will be held starting around 3:45.  Following the service we will be moving to the Carlisle VFW until approximately 6 p.m.  After that we may proceed to another location to continue the evening.
