Saturday, December 5, 2015 is the Old Gaelic annual Holiday Party at the Caddy Shack (address below).
The dress for this event is normally business casual, but really anything is acceptable. The theme dress for this year will be “Your favorite Old Gaelic team ware”. Have a jersey from the 80’s? That amazing t-shirt from the early 90’s? Wear them.
The cost of the event is $35 per person, which has only increased $8 over the last decade. For that meager sum we are provided an open bar for beer and wine as well as appetizers (wings, crudité, buffalo dip) and a buffet dinner. The chef has asked if it would be o.k. to change up the menu this year, and I’ve left it up to his discretion.
For the first time that I can remember we will have both sides of the Shack, one for drinks/five neat guys/etc. and the other for additional seating and dancing. So, this year I’m asking for an RSVP for the total number in your party.
Spouses/girlfriends/mistresses and all other significant others are welcome to the party as are potential recruits and friends.
A rough schedule for the evening:
6 p.m. – Doors Open
6-7 p.m. – Cocktails/Appetizers
7 p.m. – Dinner is served
7-8 p.m. – Dinner/mingling
8 p.m. – Comments and Awards
8:30 p.m. – 5 Neat Guys
9 p.m. – continued festivities
12 p.m. – party ends/continues at Sierra Madre
There will be drawings and raffles throughout the evening, Also this year we will be having a silent auction for the very last set of authentic Old Gaelic cotton jerseys. All other remaining merchandise will be available for purchase at year end blowout prices so that we can work on getting new stock for the spring. . The new CCC merchandise should be ready and available for payment pickup as well. Please plan on paying separately for that as I would very much like to account for each event independently.
Caddy Shack is located at 800 Orrs Bridge Road Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, it is part of Armitage Golf Course. http://g.co/maps/ksg4e
Any questions, please let me know. I look forward to seeing all of you there.
